Q. Does your soap contain lye?
A. No. But all soap is made with an oil and a base, or lye. Combining the two creates a chemical reaction that produces soap. The lye is depleted during the reaction. Even melt and pour soap goes through this reaction before it ends up on the shelf.
Q. Do you use dyes in your products?
A. Products are colored with kaolin clay or activated charcoal.
Q. Do your products contain preservatives?
A. Bar soaps from The Butter Project are self-preserving, however, skincare and in-shower products are preserved with a plant-based anti-microbial for your safety.
Q. Is my payment information secure?
A. All of your payment information, including your bank, card number, expiration date, and CVV number is encrypted and cannot be viewed. You decide how you want to be contacted by The Butter Project. If you have any questions about charges, please contact email@example.com.
Q. How can I pay?
A. Most online payment methods are accepted.
Q. Do you have free shipping?
A. Purchases over $40.00 can ship free! Use code: SHIPFREE at check-out.
Q. How long will it take to ship my order?
A. Orders are confirmed when they are placed and are fulfilled the next business day. A valid email address is required for tracking information and updates. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with all order questions.
Q. What if I don’t get my order?
A. Contact email@example.com. Do not contact the post office. Be sure to provide your name and order# for prompt assistance. If your order is not located, you can choose to re-order or to be refunded.
Q. What about returns?
A. Personal care products cannot be returned, but if you’re not happy, please use Live Chat or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for help.
